Great products for hearing care
Hearing loss can be mild, moderate, severe, or profound. The problem may develop in one or both ears.
There is a concept of hearing loss which refers to people who are able to perceive sounds without assistive devices, but who can use them to facilitate social interaction with others. These people communicate through spoken language.
The term deaf refers to people who have a profound hearing loss. Such people do not hear at all. They use sign language to communicate.
Hearing Treatment Methods
Disorders of the middle and outer ear are amenable to surgical and medical treatment.
Tympanostomy - treatment involves surgery to remove exudative otitis media (fluid in the middle ear cavity). Using an operating microscope, under local anesthesia, the doctor cuts the eardrum and inserts a shunt. The shunt is needed to ensure normal ventilation of the middle ear and the outflow of fluid inside. After the shunt is removed, the eardrum heals on its own.
eardrum treatment
Damage (perforation) of the eardrum is not usually a serious condition, but it can cause hearing loss and frequent ear infections. Also, there may be problems with maintaining balance when liquid enters the ear.
Treatment of acute perforation of the tympanic membrane.
Minor mechanical damage, most often, heals on its own, and treatment in such cases is not required. But, if the tympanic membrane is severely damaged, then surgical treatment of the defect is performed by transplantation.
Common causes of hearing loss may be due to damage to the inner ear (noise, aging, head trauma, drug toxicity). This is due to damage to the cells responsible for signal transmission to the nerve. The most effective method of hearing treatment in this case is the installation of a hearing aid.
In turn, the hearing aid is selected on an individual basis, after consultation with a doctor.
